World of Warcraft - Item Upgrading
The upgrade of an item allows players to boost the gear score of an item to 700 and add a final perk. Items can be upgraded if they're in your inventory and you bring them to the Kiln.
Certain items can be upp'd to benefit from their unique stats (like perfect made breakpoint armour that can be rolled to use in melee PvP) and others, like weapons, do not change significantly after an upgrade, so they aren't worth upgrading.
Weapons
Weapons can be upgraded to improve their numeric stats, such as damage to attack, crit chance PvE and damage from PvP. Weapons come with a flat rate bonus that increases damage per second. Additionally, many weapons have a set bonus which is activated when three or more of the same weapon are present on a unit. In some instances, this bonus can add up to more than the amount of damage a weapon is able to upgrade on its own.
A weapon's upgrade costs depend on the nature of the weapon as well as its current level. For example an item with a rating of +2 will require two regular Smithing Stones to upgrade while the +3 model requires four. The number of stones required to upgrade the gun will increase until it needs an upgrade to a higher level of Smithing Stones. At that point it will reset to one.
Upgrades to weapons also reroll the stats of the base. This is generally a positive thing, but it can also have negative effects. Upgrades can make items impossible to use, unless you are very lucky.
Armor items can also be upgraded to improve their stats. This will increase the base defense of a chest or helm, while belts and gloves will boost their required strength and agility. Armor also has a reroll option for its Enhanced Defense percent, which means that it may reroll to a lower value.
The upgrade template of a weapon will display the new stats it will gain when upgrading, along with the values of these stats. This means that a change from an 8 attack-damage sword to an 11 attack-damage sword will result in a weapon gaining 33% attack damage. However, the 3% doesn't mean that it will hit for 3 times less often as it is an absolute number.
Rerolling a weapon can be possible by pressing the green button on the item menu using the arrows that circle. The item will be rerolled and change its stats, however, it will not reset the weapon's levels or tie it to the account status.
Armor
Adding a few upgrades to your armor can make a an enormous difference in your capacity to withstand. Certain sets can provide MASSIVE improvements in the resistance to poison, curses and fire as well as magic. This makes it easier to traverse difficult terrains. The more defense your character has the more value you can get from every point of health you possess and it's crucial to upgrade your armor as often as you can.
To upgrade your armor, head to one of the Great Fairy Fountains in the game. There are item upgrading in the game, and to unlock them all, you must complete a side quest that involves the Stable Trotters. Once you've done the main side quest and have completed the fountain in question you'll be able to contact any Great Fairy to open up the menu for upgrading your armor.
Each piece of armor can be upgraded to three levels, and the amount of material and Rupees required for each will vary. In general, you'll be looking at anything from three to five Red Chuchu Jellies and 10 Rupees for the initial upgrade, and anywhere between five Rubies and 10 Fire-Breath Horns for each subsequent upgrade. The Champion Leathers, as an example, can be upgraded to a 5 defense rating, which will allow you to stay ahead in frigid environments with a large number of foes. The Snowquill Headdress, on the other side, can be upgraded as high as +20 defense to ensure you can survive a raid with your comrades.
It's important to note that armor cannot be upgraded in the same manner as weapons, so you'll have to concentrate on enhancing it to increase physical strength if you're a Warrior or Spell Power when you're Mage. It's also a good idea to save your armor upgrades to use for armor you'll be wearing at the end of the game, such as the Ring of Lightning and Spectral Shield or the helmet you'll wear for the final boss battle, the Monter Parts Merchant's mask.
By giving the jeweler 10 Twinkling Titanite in Gerudo Town, you can gain some benefits to your armor. Generally, you'll want to save these upgrades for the weapon you'll use to win the game like the Longsword, Battleaxe or Warhammer However, it is beneficial to have a few upgrades of the helmets and chest armor that permit you to sneak past certain monsters.
Potions
Potions are substances in bottles that, when consumed, give the user a temporary status effect. There are five types of potions, each with a specific set of effects and durations. Certain potions can be upgraded, increasing their effectiveness. You can also increase the effects of certain potions by adding redstone dust and glowstone dust.
Upgrades to your potion require a specific amount XP. This can be earned by crafting them on a table or by placing them in the Alchemist chest. However, the upgrade price is dependent on the kind of potion you wish to upgrade, as well as on the item's Mark Level and rarity.
To upgrade a potions you need to right-click it in your inventory. Then select "Upgrade" from the menu. This opens a GUI where you can select the potions you wish to upgrade and the amount of XP they will yield when upgraded. You can upgrade potions in batches of up to five at a time and their XP will be added to the total XP you currently have.
Once a potion is upgraded, it will not be degraded until you re-use it, or break the bottle it is stored in. Clicking on the potion in your inventory will allow you to change the name of the potion.
There were some changes to the mechanics of potion in version 1.7.2. For instance, splash potions now have a duration of zero,08 seconds (this is not the same as the 22.5 seconds shown on the hover display for the item). The potion table is now made of four Wood Planks, and two Glass. It can be utilized in both Survival and Bedrock. Contrary to Java Edition, Bedrock edition potions can't be combined in cauldrons. The same is true for the use of a potion in the cauldron that is filled. This will drain the liquid, and then refill the bottle.
Lastly, there are now lingering potions that are brewed with dragon breath and splash potions. In the same way, a lingering potion effect can be extended by adding redstone. The potion table is now laid out more in line with the Java Edition, and new potions were introduced, including the potion of leaping and the decomposition potion, as well as turtle master potions.
Trinkets

A trinket can be a small, inexpensive ornament or piece of jewelry. It could also be an ornament or object that serves a purpose, but is not important as a trinket. In some cultures a trinket is used to show affection or friendship between family members.
Players can upgrade trinkets in addition to weapons or armor, as well as potions. Upgrades can be made by paying the appropriate currency to an upgrade vendor. Unlike other item upgrades trinkets, trinkets can be exchanged at will without losing their stats.
The upgrade vendors can be found in major cities and in the capital of each zone, as well as in some cases, dungeons. Upgrades for trinkets are available with gold, tokens or fragments of trinkets that are rare.
Upgrading a trinket is an affordable alternative to buying new ones. It is possible to upgrade players for less than 12 tokens. The new trinket will feature the same base ilvl of the previous one, and will come with an additional upgrade bonus of 1.
Trinkets can be re-upgraded once the old ones are no longer needed, allowing a player to increase their power and worth over time. They can be traded among players and are a viable alternative to gold.
Players must upgrade their most valuable items first. This means that the most-important slot items for each class are first upgraded then their secondary gear and other pieces of equipment that won't replace anytime soon (such as an earring or a cloak). Players should also take into consideration their class's preferred stats when choosing which items to upgrade. For instance If Haste and Crit are the two most important stats for a tank it is recommended that they upgrade their helm, chest shoulders, belt, and chest.
When they are no longer useful, trinkets can be upgraded to a greater level. The new trinket comes with an additional 1percent bonus. Re-upgrading will cause the trinket to be destroyed unless it is salvaged with the Black Lion Salvage Kit, or a higher tier salvage tool. Upgrades to trinkets can be more expensive than other upgrades, but still less expensive than buying an entirely new trinket.
