How to Upgrade Items in Pokemon GO
The Upgrade is among the most important features in Pokemon GO. It lets trainers evolve Porygon into Porygon2 and it also gives them the chance to advance in their Pokedex.
While this item is quite rare, players can find it by spinning a photo disc at a Pokestop or as a reward for special occasions. What does this item actually do?
Components
Upgrade components are items that can be put into weapons, trinkets, or gathering tools in order to give an added bonus or effect when the item is used. They are an essential component of crafting and can be obtained by salvaging or bought from vendors. They can also be found in the form of drops, either from enemies or from item spheres. They can be used to upgrade armor or weapons through an upgrade slot.
Using upgrade components to maximize the amount of experience gained when upgrading gear and weapons is key to achieving the highest level of progress in the game. The addition of organic components to an upgraded item will increase the experience multiplier, whereas mechanical components will reduce it. The best combination is a high experience-multiplier organic component followed by a low-experience-multiplier mechanical component. This will increase your experience and enable you to move up the levels of equipment or weapon a lot easier to achieve.
The upgrade system is complex and it's essential to understand how it works so that you can benefit the most from your upgrades. The system keeps a daily total for the item you're upgrading. Each component has a positive or negative experience multiplier value, and when the total reaches certain thresholds, it will be reset to zero.
The amount of experience gained by every upgrade component can be affected by the item's hidden rank as well as its multiplier of experience. The higher-ranked items are more difficult to upgrade whereas lower-ranked items are simpler to acquire.
It is important to remove all connections and fasteners that connect the old part. Save these for later in a parts tray for easy identification and safe-keeping. Reconnect all wires and cables and connect the power source. Then, test the computer by switching it on. If everything is connected correctly, the computer should boot normally. This is a crucial step to ensure that the new hardware is compatible with your current systems and will operate seamlessly.
Glyphs
Glyphs can be a fantastic tool to make your gear better, but you have be aware of how to use them properly. Each glyph has a variety of values it can improve a substat by increasing its rank, and higher-ranking Glyphs have higher-quality values. You can only upgrade a glyph only once, so make sure you choose wisely. Glyphs can also be used only once, so they disappear when you use them on an object or artifact.
The most useful glyphs are the ones which increase your chances to roll an affix that is of the desired type or tier. They are typically found on the most expensive armor, weapons and other accessories. They can also be found on the Paragon Board and are usually worth the effort, however they can be difficult to locate.
Glyphs can be found in the Black Lion Chests, or purchased at the Trading Post. Certain glyphs are available for use only once, while others are permanent. The latter are great for items that must be used frequently. The Glyph of Hope, for example, allows you to increase the chance of acquiring a particular affix when enchanting items.
Some glyphs are also used to change existing affixes. This is common on boots and gloves. Each can host four different affixes. The Glyph of Insight for example, turns a prefix in an experimental affix. This is a great tool to have if you are looking to increase the amount of damage you can do or want to make sure you'll get a high-quality affix for a particular slot.

Once you reach level 50, the structure of the game dramatically changes. You'll no longer be able rely on the campaign. Instead, you will be required to navigate the Paragon Board, Nightmare Dungeons and grinds that are new to optimize your game.
The most effective glyphs will be those that match your character's class, like the Exploit Glyph which increases damage to enemies who are vulnerable. item upgrades include the Control Glyph, which boosts damage to enemies that are frozen, stunned or slow. Each symbol has a radius and the radius increases as you upgrade the glyph. This makes glyphs a great way to improve your gear during the last game.
Reroll tokens

There are also a number of other upgrade items within the game that can be rerolled, for example, the recipes. They are not available through the shop or rerolling, but are instead transferred to the non-droppable Pool when players select the Food Card that requires new Ingredients or Equipment. Reroll tokens can be used to reroll these extra bonuses, however the base stats (including all upgrades), and level will remain the same.
